John Atkinson (jans-man)  > Art > Rob Atkinson's Art
Rob Atkinson began decorating sleeveless undershirts when he was in high school. He used permanent ink markers or different colors, mostly black. Rob would wear these shirts any time the weather and protocol would allow. This gallery shows the designs of the shirts that we found among Rob's personal effects.

Also shown are a hand-designed CD, and a painting Rob created as a Christmas gift for his mother, Jan Atkinson, in 2007.

I couldn't resist including a Rob-as-art piece, created at Obamicon.me.

John Atkinson (jans-man) > The Eyes of the Heart. One of Rob's favorites. This design was adapted by Jeff Kahn in his design for the program used at Rob's memorial service in San Diego on January 10, 2009.

John Atkinson (jans-man) > Reverse side of the LBJ shirt.
John Atkinson (jans-man) > This is my favorite. The design continues onto the back of the shirt, which you can see on the next picture. Note the "LBJ" logo in the center. Rob attended a Leadership Program at the LBJ School for Public Affairs at the University of Texas during the summer of 2008. He was very interested in attending graduate school there. I assume that's why he worked the school's logotype into this design.
